A tragic accident on a Georgia roadway took the lives of three young boys. According to reports, a car was traveling east on Riverwatch Parkway when the driver attempted to make a left turn. The car was hit by a truck that was traveling west on that same road. The car accident happened in the late afternoon in early June.

The first one to die from injuries sustained in the crash was an 8-year-old boy who was pronounced dead at the scene. There were two other young boys, who were both 9 years old, involved in the crash, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of those boys died at the hospital later on that evening.

The other fatality from that crash came on the following Friday, when the other 9-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries at a nearby children’s hospital. All three of the boys who died were students at local elementary schools. However, none of them attended the same elementary school.

The Richmond County Police Department was called to the scene. The department’s officers will continue to investigate the accident to determine the cause of the fatal crash. Charges for this accident are pending further investigation, and officials would not speculate about the cause of the accident.

When a car accident results in serious or fatal injuries, families are often left reeling with concern, confusion and, in the worst cases, grief. Although nothing can alleviate a family’s emotional pain, sometimes the compensation that could result from a personal injury or wrongful death suit filed in a Georgia civil court can help alleviate a family’s financial pain. As the financial burdens of accidents can be great, many turn to the civil court system for help.
