One woman who was described by two of her daughters as loving life and family, was recently taken from her beloved family. She was reportedly a victim of a fatal accident on a routine trip to a local grocery store. The driver who is charged with causing the accident is believed to have been racing another vehicle.

The 43-year-old man has been charged with drunk driving, first degree vehicular manslaughter and reckless operation of a vehicle. He was allegedly attempting to race an unidentified driver when the accident occurred. This other driver is being sought by Georgia officials. According to police, the 50-year-old mother was attempting to complete a left turn when the other car crashed into her vehicle.

The intersection where the accident happened has been described by residents as being dangerous. This particular Georgia town’s crossroads is not regulated by a traffic signal and getting across the road is reportedly difficult when traffic is especially heavy. The woman’s daughters have stated that they will actively seek to have stop lights installed to possibly prevent future tragedies.

This tragic fatal accident has taken the life of a beloved mother. The driver who is alleged to have killed her is facing serious charges; however, nothing will fill the void that has been left in the lives of the survivors. The family may seek to file a wrongful death civil suit against the driver who is being held liable for this crash. If the litigation were to be decided in their favor, then any resulting financial compensation could help ease the monetary costs that may have compounded the emotional pain that they are coping with in the aftermath of their loss.
