A crash recently snatched a man’s life in Georgia. The car accident took place on a recent Thursday morning along Interstate 75. Police said they did not believe that alcohol was a causal factor in this tragic car accident.

Police said that, at around 10:40 a.m., a car was going in the right lane of the interstate and then headed toward the middle lane. At that point, the car reportedly struck a sport utility vehicle. The sport utility vehicle then collided with a pickup truck that was in the left lane.

The sport utility vehicle ended up overturning. Unfortunately, the driver of this automobile died. The pickup trick was damaged immensely, but the car sustained only minor damage. Authorities continued to investigate the cause of the collision.

The surviving loved ones of the man who died in the Georgia car accident may decide to file a wrongful death claim against the driver of the car that reportedly caused the accident, seeking damages. Perhaps this driver was driving while texting or driving too quickly on the interstate — both forms of negligence, for example. Liability has to be established before the civil court hearing the case in order for monetary damage claims to be determined. A monetary award in a successfully fought case may help with addressing funeral costs or even with addressing the loss of income for surviving dependents. Even though monetary compensation cannot undo the sudden events that led to the man’s death, it may help the family to experience a sense of justice and more easily move forward from the fatal collision.
