A recent motor vehicle crash left a teenage girl with serious injuries. The Georgia car accident took place on a Thursday afternoon. It involved two vehicles, although an early report of the crash provided few details regarding what actually happened and what may have caused the collision.

According to police, a teenager was hurt in the accident. She was unresponsive and unconscious when rescue crews found her. Rescuers had to extricate the girl from the automobile in which she was riding.

First responders started to give the girl treatment at the scene of the accident. She was then placed on a helicopter and transported to a trauma center. The conditions of the other individuals involved in the car accident were not reported.

If a police investigation reveals that another person involved in the accident caused the teenager’s injuries, a personal injury claim for reimbursement of monetary damages may be appropriate. Competent proof of negligence is necessary to establish liability to the satisfaction of the Georgia civil court hearing the car accident case. Once liability is established, claims for damages will be determined. Damages awarded in a successfully litigated claim may help to cover hospital costs and other losses associated with these types of vehicle accidents, and may also help to address emotional distress and pain and suffering from the accident. Even though no amount of money can undo the events leading to such an accident, it may help the victim recover monetary damages and more easily move forward from the tragedy.
