Car accident claims 1 life, leads to 2 injuries

A woman's life was recently cut short in Georgia due to a motor vehicle accident. The head-on car accident took place on a Monday. It occurred at 10 p.m.

Police reported that a woman, said to be 29 years old, was driving her car along a road. She suddenly breached the road's middle line. At that point, her vehicle hit an SUV.

The woman was taken to the hospital. However, she passed away by the time she got there. The two people riding in the SUV that was struck were also transported to the hospital, where their conditions were deemed to be stable.

The two accident victims in the SUV may choose to file personal injury claims as a result of this car accident, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages. Although the driver believed at fault passed away, her estate may be sued, along anyone else who has an ownership interest in the car she was driving at the time of the accident. Liability must be established by a preponderance of the evidence to the satisfaction of a Georgia civil court, based upon a showing of negligence; once accomplished, claims for damages will be adjudicated. A successfully litigated lawsuit may lead to a financial damage award, which may help to cover hospital bills, loss of wages and other financial damages stemming from the car accident and recognized by applicable laws. A monetary award may also help to address pain and suffering along with emotional distress caused by the motor vehicle accident.
