A vehicle accident has claimed the life one individual in Georgia. The car accident occurred on a late July Wednesday morning near a park. It involved three vehicles.
The fatal collision took place at a little before 8 a.m. According to police, three vehicles — one car and two pickup trucks — were involved in a head-on collision along Georgia 96. It happened between some railroad tracks and an area called the Cochran Short Route, which is also called Georgia 247 and US 129.
Authorities attempted to extricate a victim from one pickup truck at a little past 10 a.m. This truck had suffered severe damage to its front end. The victim ended up dying in the collision. Nobody else involved in the accident was taken to the hospital.
The police investigation of the three-vehicle accident in Georgia may reveal who caused the car accident. If the victim is found not to have been at-fault in the head-on collision, the person who is believed to have caused his or her death may be sued by the deceased victim’s family. The family has the right to file a wrongful death claim, pursuing the reimbursement of monetary damages sustained in the motor vehicle crash. Financial responsibility must be established based upon a showing of negligence before a judge will determine claims for damages in this type of civil court case. A damage award in a case that is fought successfully might help to cover funeral costs and even the loss of income for surviving dependents, if applicable.
