Car accident in Georgia claims 2 lives

Two people recently lost their lives in a vehicle accident in Georgia. The car accident occurred along Highway 4. It involved two vehicles.

The wreck took place on a Saturday evening. According to police, a girl, 17, was operating a vehicle east along the highway and tried to make a U-turn. However, she reportedly turned into a pickup truck's path.

The driver's side of the girl's automobile was T-boned. The girl ended up dying and so did a person who was riding in the pickup truck. He was 52 years old. The pickup truck driver's, a man who is 25 years old, suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The injured pickup truck passenger may choose to file a personal injury claim in this motor vehicle accident case, seeking the reimbursement of damages sustained in the accident. Likewise, the deceased pickup truck driver's surviving loved ones may decide to file a wrongful death claim. Even though the girl who allegedly caused the accident passed away in the crash, any separate owners of the vehicle she was driving at the time of the crash -- or her parents, if applicable -- may be named in a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit associated with the collision. Competent proof of negligence is needed to establish liability in a manner that satisfies the Georgia civil court hearing the case, in which case claims for damages will be determined. Financial damages from a successfully fought case may help to cover burial costs, hospital expenses and other losses tied to the car accident.
