One woman in Georgia was recently injured in a vehicle accident. The car accident occurred at the intersections of two streets. It took place on a Sunday morning.
Police reported that at a little past 10 a.m., a woman, 37, was driving a mid-size car north. At the same time, another woman, 66, was heading west in a compact sport utility vehicle. The older woman was turning left to get onto another street and suddenly crashed into the younger woman.
The older woman was taken to the hospital, where her condition was deemed critical. Meanwhile, the younger woman was also transported to the hospital, where she was considered to be in stable condition. Three other people riding in the younger woman’s car did not suffer injuries in the wreck.
A police investigation may provide information about which party was at fault in the Georgia motor vehicle accident, although as a general rule of thumb, a car turning left is almost always liable in such a car accident, as it is required to wait until a turn can be safely completed before going in front of traffic that is oncoming. A personal injury claim may be filed against the allegedly at-fault driver. A successfully fought claim might lead to financial restitution, which may help to cover hospital expenses, the loss of wages and other costs associated with the accident. Awarded damages, based upon a showing of negligence, may also be helpful for addressing pain and suffering as well as any emotional distress caused by the accident.
