Two individuals recently died in a vehicle accident in Georgia, while one person suffered injuries in the crash. The personal injury auto accident happened along Highway 16 on a Thursday evening. It involved three vehicles.

Police reported that, at a little past 7 p.m., a pickup truck was going west on the highway. The truck driver did not stay in his lane and ended up striking a car going east. Following the head-on crash, the car went into a ditch near the road. The truck then reportedly continued going west in the eastbound lane.

The pickup hit a Jeep Cherokee that was traveling in the lane, and the Jeep was spun into the highway’s middle section. Both of the vehicles caught fire. A bystander removed the Jeep’s driver from her vehicle and took her to a secure location until officials arrived. She was then taken to the hospital with a cut on her head and three vertebrae that were fractured. Meanwhile, the car and pickup drivers both died at the accident scene.

The woman who suffered injuries in the Georgia auto accident may decide to file a personal injury claim in this case. In addition, the family members of the car driver who died may choose to file a wrongful death claim. Although the pickup truck driver who is believed to have caused the crash ended up dying in it, his estate may be sued; in addition, all separate owners of the truck he was driving at the time of the crash may be added as defendants. A civil court judge will ultimately determine monetary damage claims once liability have been established.
