Although it is an everyday activity for many people, driving on the road can be a dangerous thing to do. There are many unpredictable aspects on the road. This may include unexpected obstructions on the road as well as unpredictable actions of other drivers. One recent fatal accident in Georgia may have been caused by one driver unpredictably losing control of his vehicle while driving on the road in mid-December.
The incident involved three vehicles and caused fatal injuries to a 77-year-old motorist. The decedent was driving his 2011 Ford Escape with a woman in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. For some reason, the man reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which caused it to crash into two other vehicles. Authorities are still investigating the incident in order to find out what may have caused the man to lose control of the Ford.
The Ford initially crashed into a 2001 Toyota Camry and then smashed into a 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer. The Ford ended up rolling on top of the Chevrolet as a result of the chain reaction crash. The driver of the Ford was transported to a local medical center, but was pronounced dead at the hospital. The passenger of the Ford was hospitalized as a result of injuries sustained in the incident.
Two other individuals also suffered injuries in the fatal accident in Georgia. Although their injuries were not as serious as the passenger in the Ford, they still may be able to obtain some monetary reimbursement by filing a personal injury lawsuit against the estate of the decedent, should evidence demonstrate that he acted negligently in causing or contributing to this accident. Succeeding in such a claim can help to pay for any expensive medical bills resulting from a crash.
