A woman recently lost her life in a Georgia vehicle accident. The car accident occurred about a week before she was slated to get married. The woman was 24 years old.

According to police, the woman was riding in one of the cars that were involved in the crash. The accident involved three vehicles total and took place early in the morning on a Sunday. Her funeral ended up being held the day prior to her planned wedding date.

Police reported that alcohol was suspected to be a causal factor in the collision for two of the motorists who were involved in this wreck. Police continued to investigate the accident. They said if the driver’s alcohol tests come back positive, both of these drivers would face DUI charges as well as some other charges. In total, seven individuals were taken to the hospital with injuries following the accident. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old woman passed away at the accident scene.

The surviving loved ones of the woman who died in the Georgia car accident may decide to file a wrongful death claim against the driver or drivers determined to be at fault in the accident due to drunk driving. If the allegedly at-fault parties end up being charged with driving under the influence and convicted, proof of the convictions may be presented in civil court in an effort to establish liability in the fatal accident. No claims for monetary damages will be determined until and unless financial responsibility has been established to the court’s satisfaction.
